We are now looking for a Senior IT Architect to provide architectural support and guidance within this area that is of critical importance to the bank and currently executing some very large and exciting change initiatives. We are looking for an experienced solution architect with an agile mindset who will take responsibility for the design of a range of solutions supporting financial crime prevention processes for the bank. As Senior IT Architect, you’ll play a valuable role in proactively driving the creation of the IT architecture needed to support a very complex and fascinating area of the financial services industry.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide solution design and architectural leadership for agile release trains. This includes the ability to create the high level design of solutions as well as to deep dive into details with the development teams if needed.
  • Facilitate collecting and validating business requirements together with Product Owners, Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts.
  • Contribute in developing transition and target architectures that provide explicit guidance and steering for the area.
  • Translating business functional and non-functional requirements into fit-for-purpose IT solutions and creating architecture and technical viewpoints such as High-Level Design (HLD) documents.
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders, other architects and members of design team.
  • Provide support and guidance to developers and other team members as needed. You’ll join a team of experienced architects that has a central role in providing architecture support in a very important area for the bank. ​

 

Your experience and background:  

  • 4+ years of related work experience in the areas of software development and system architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive development of target and transition architectures and to craft fit-for-purpose solution design content that provides explicit guidance for agile transformation initiatives.
  • Practical experience with microservices-based architectures.
  • Previous work experience in data architecture, including big data technology and related toolchain (e.g. Hadoop, Spark).
  • Experienced with integration architecture and common enterprise application patterns to support batch, real-time and near-real-time data integration, and related integration technologies.
  • Knowledge of technical architecture and understanding of modern application stacks incorporating both open-source and 3rd party vendor technologies.
  • Business domain experience from the Financial Crime Prevention area is an advantage but not a must-have.
