For Our Client we are looking for a Product Data Lead.

The Product Data Lead will manage a Data Administrator and will be the interface between their own team and other areas of the business, ensuring queries are swiftly resolved and ad hoc requests for information are completed and communicated in a way which most effectively delivers the required information. This role will also be required to design and deliver continuous improvements to current processes.

 

On-going duties and responsibilities:

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Management of the Data Admin, providing support, ensuring team members are aware of and delivering against regular KPIs and ad hoc requests for information from the wider business.
  • Ensure Product Data Information / Product Bible is up to date at all times for all territories with accurate information.
  • Cross functional engagement with Project Management, Supply Chain, Vendor Management, Quality Assurance, Digital, Product Development and Marketing to ensure data is collected accurately and prioritised to meet specific business needs eg: Product Launches.
  • Tight control of data changes, understanding the impact to related data fields and business functions.
  • Establish and document key cross functional business processes to inform our understanding of data flows between systems and departments.
  • Design & deliver continuous improvement projects to improve consistency of product data across the business.
  • Support transition of data between systems.
  • Undertaking tasks of team members, covering them in their absence.

 

Essential experience and skills required for position:

  • Understanding of the product lifecycle and the importance of accurate data throughout.
  • Analytical, with the ability to understand complex information quickly and disseminate it internally in an understandable way.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills and Experience of managing complex data within system and excel.
  • Experienced in all other aspects of Microsoft – Word, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Logical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable working and managing a team in a hybrid way – both remotely and office based.
  • Be confident to challenge and remove unnecessary processes that do not add value.
  • Effective and engaging written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
  • Exhibit role model behaviours at all times.
  • Exhibit great stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to successfully prioritise workload in a fast paced environment.
  • Delivery / output focused.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience or knowledge of managing Retail product data is preferable
  • Experience of working with GS1
