Our recruitment agency is representing a dynamic financial institution that combines tradition with innovative technology solutions. We are seeking experienced Platform Architects to shape, govern, and evolve the strategic technology platforms of our client.

About the Role

The Platform Architect will own the end-to-end architectural vision of the platform, bridging business strategy, security, and technical execution. You will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, security architects, cloud teams, and delivery organizations to ensure the platform can be securely scaled and reused across the organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Architectural Leadership:
    • Define and maintain the high-level architecture vision for core platforms across all hosting solutions, including Cloud, AI, Data Centres, hypervisors, APIs, portals, container platforms, and public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Ensure all designs align with the organization’s target architecture, strategy, and governance processes.
  • Compliance & Governance:
    • Ensure strategic technology platforms adhere to IT security guidelines, resilience frameworks, and segregation of duties.
    • Validate platform setup against standards for identity management, audit logging, penetration testing, and cloud exit strategies.
  • Transformation Enablement:
    • Collaborate with other architects to define the long-term platform vision and remediate technical and compliance gaps.
  • Technical Oversight:
    • Oversee secure integrations (connectivity patterns, IAM, SIEM).
    • Manage identity lifecycle and service account provisioning within strategic technology platforms.
  • Documentation & Standards:
    • Produce and maintain High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Solution Design Documents (SDDs).
    • Document compliance status and justify exceptions according to architecture governance processes.

Candidate profile:

  • Proven experience in enterprise architecture and cloud migration programs (Azure, AWS, GCP preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of IT security guidelines, resilience frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
  • Expertise in identity management, network security, and integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with FURPS+ non-functional requirements and architecture governance processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification.
  • Experience with financial services compliance and cloud carve-out projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure API Management, Entra ID, and VPN connectivity.
