For our international client’s company worldwide known for its board games we are now looking for Multilingual Proofreader  to join its international Quality Assurance team.

They have offices in London, Gdańsk, Montreuil, Düsseldorf, Milan, New South Wales and Rhode Island.


  • review artwork at multiple stages of production to ensure it is of high quality, free of errors, and follows the brand guidelines and style requirements of individual clients, and of the company
  • check and ensure the implementation of worldwide distribution guidelines and legal requirements, e.g. safety markings, recycling guidelines, safety warnings
  • proofread and copy-edit written content in your native language
  • perform compliance reviews of products in a variety of languages
  • continually remain aware of updates to worldwide legal requirements, and clearly communicate any such changes to other departments, such as graphic designers and product developers
  • communicate and work closely with a number of departments, such as graphic designers and creatives
  • plan and deliver training sessions for colleagues
  • ensure the tone and content of products are suitable for their intended audiences, and consistent with the values of any given brand or license
  • review product specifications to ensure artwork files correspond with the intended components of a given product
  • regularly review and critique internal ways of working, identify shortcomings across departments, and develop and propose solution
  • become familiar with the individual nuances of each brand (knowing the style guides, copyright lines, tones, target audiences) and develop a critical understanding of the workings of each game and its rules
  • bring a methodical and common-sense approach to the review of each game, be able both to critique individual components, and consider the product as a packaged whole
  • potential to visit our international offices as and when deemed necessary


  • degree-level education in a relevant discipline
  • experience in packaging, design or quality assurance, or similar office-based role
  • collaborative and cooperative outlook
  • exemplary attention to detail
  • ability to organise and prioritise
  • excellent level of written and spoken English
  • fluency in other modern language(s), written German, Italian, French, Spanish, Chinese or Arabic.
  • experience proofreading or copy-editing in said language(s)

Good to have:

  • familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and Google Drive
  • knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Creative Suite
  • experience in product design or development
  • understanding of InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
