Our Client is a Games Company. They make games, sell games and play games. They work with internationally recognised entertainment brands and have strategic licensor partners across the world.

About the role:

Due to the business expansion, the company is searching for a Logistics Manager to join Gdańsk site. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating delivery company Products, nationally and internationally, ensuring all operational, administrative and legislative requirements are fulfilled.

You will deal with: budgeting, quoting and customs compliance to ensure products arrive on time every time, liaise with vendors, 3PL, freight forwarders, internal client teams and external customers to meet the needs of specific projects

Planning & Documentation:

  • Manage and coordinate freight / logistics quotes from the company’s global freight providers
  • Forward plan/budget expected costs
  • Provide & quote freight & logistics solutions for sales staff to communicate with clients
  • Liaise with Project Management team, Sales order and Purchase order teams to provide visibility of shipments from manufacture through to warehouse or direct to customer
  • Create all shipment documentation and manage timelines, shipment plan variances and communicate to all relevant parties accordingly
  • Arrange for Delivery or Collection in accordance with terms of sale agreed with Client and their shipping/supplier procedures
  • Ensure all documentation is in order to comply with all customs legislation and VAT requirements
  • Communicate any client specific packing, labelling and delivery instruction to company 3PL and ensure Orders are being prepared for shipment in time

Shipment & Order Fulfilment:

  • Ensure loading takes place as scheduled; Receive vendor documentation, issue and send client documentation
  • Ensure all necessary import/export documentation is raised in due time
  • Provide critical shipping schedule information to Order Management & Project Management teams
  • Pre-alert client of delivery, Booking-in collection and/or delivery with Customer/freight providers as required
  • Check final schedule and confirm final delivery, ensuring service compliance
  • Receive vendor invoices, record in databases along with any accompanying shipping paperwork such as customs declarations and proof of deliveries and process to Finance
  • Reconcile & Track order fulfillment costs and service performance

Warehouse Management:

  • Performance and cost management of the 3PL providers and hauliers
  • Monitor adherence to service levels and contract schedule
  • Ensure 3PL operations maintain inventory accuracy through audits and cycle counts
  • Identify cost and process improvement opportunities

Team:

  • Work in close coordination with warehousing & distribution functions in the USA, UK, Republic of Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Australia
  • As a senior member of a small logistics team you will manage a variety of roles within the function including staff performance appraisal, reviews and recruitment.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience on a similar position: Logistics Manager in a retail / product environment or 3PL provider
  • Good analytical and financial acumen
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to gain confidence of all levels both internal and external
  • Fluent in English
  • Good time management and Excellent communication skills

Experience & Knowledge:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Logistics
  • Experience in 3PL contract Management
  • Essential to have a in depth knowledge of Import, Export, multi-modal & cross trade activity
  • Essential to have a strong and preferably varied background in international warehousing & transportation operations
  • Knowledge of Origin, Trade Agreements, customs classifications and binding tariff rulings is desirable are desirable
  • Educated to higher level (Degree levels or equivalent)
  • IT skills (Google & MS Office, knowledge of distribution systems and ERP)
